Canyon

These images where taken in Arizonas' now famous Antelope Canyon. It was first discovered for the world of photography by the photographer Bruce Barnbaum, whose work I greatly admire. The canyon, formed by the action of flood water, is only sixty yards long or so, but every twist and turn provides photographic opportunities. Here I have concentrated on the illustrating the wonderful shapes strictly in monochrome - as opposed to the usual over saturated colours most prefer.

Also, I do like the idea of the images working in a metaphorical sense - the twist and turns representing a passage through ones life... to a spiritual home and destination somewhere along the path...
